How To Install Skid Mounted Refueling Station?

Feb 20, 2026

Skid mounted refueling stations are portable, safe fuel supply solutions for industrial, logistics and emergency scenarios. Proper installation ensures stable operation and compliance with safety standards. Here's a step-by-step guide for efficient and standard installation, following industry technical specifications and safety norms.

1. Pre-Installation Preparation & Approval
First, select a flat, well-ventilated site with safe spacing from buildings and fire sources. Secure all official permits and safety assessments per local regulations. Prepare a reinforced concrete foundation 0.2-0.3m higher than the surrounding ground to prevent water accumulation, and confirm the foundation bears the equipment's total weight stably.

2. Main Equipment Hoisting & Fixing
Transport the integrated skid-mounted unit to the prepared foundation and hoist it with professional machinery to keep it level. Secure the unit firmly to the foundation to avoid displacement. Ensure the double-wall oil tank is installed with leak detection devices as required, and check the tightness of all tank connections in advance.

3. Piping & Electrical Connection
Connect oil supply, return and refueling pipelines in strict accordance with design drawings, ensuring all joints are sealed to prevent fuel leakage. Install explosion-proof electrical components, including control systems, metering devices and monitoring alarms. Equip refueling hoses with safety break valves for leak protection, and complete lightning and anti-static grounding.

4. Safety Device Fitting & System Testing
Install fire safety equipment like dry powder fire extinguishers, fire blankets and fire alarm systems around the station. Build a non-leaking cofferdam with incombustible materials for environmental protection. Conduct a full system test: verify oil pump operation, metering accuracy and leak detection function, and debug emergency cut-off and alarm systems to ensure all work normally.

5. Final Acceptance & Commissioning
After passing the test, complete the official acceptance procedure with relevant departments. Clean the construction site and sort installation records. Train operators on standard operation and daily maintenance before formal commissioning, ensuring compliance with all safety operating rules during use.
