Oil tank cleaning is a relatively dangerous operation inside the tank, as oil vapors are not only flammable and explosive, but also toxic. Therefore, when cleaning a tank, strictly adhere to the following regulations.
1. Open the manhole and inspect the oil quality at the bottom of the tank layer by layer, then determine a plan for removing and disposing of the remaining oil.
2. Personnel entering the tank should wear work clothes, work shoes, gloves, and a gas mask. They should also wear a signal line and safety belt. Personnel outside the tank should supervise the operation. Tank entry should be short, generally 15-20 minutes, and work should be carried out in shifts. Medical personnel should also be on duty on site.
3. Use a broom or wooden tools to clean residual oil and wastewater. Iron and steel tools are strictly prohibited.
4. Ensure good ventilation.
5. Steam method: Initially, seal all openings in the tank. Once the temperature reaches 60-70°C, open the lid and continue steam cleaning until the residual oil in the tank is completely dissolved. Oil tank cleaning must be carried out in accordance with regulations and strict operating procedures to minimize hazards associated with cleaning and working within the tank.
Cleaning Standards:
1. After cleaning, the tank must be free of rust, impurities, moisture, and oil stains.
2. After the tank cleaning is completed, responsible personnel from both parties must jointly inspect the cleaning work and sign an acceptance report.
3. After passing the inspection, the tank must immediately have its manhole sealed and its pipelines connected, restoring it to its original condition.
4. After the tank cleaning operation is completed, the site must be cleaned according to regulations and records maintained. Ensure reliable and civilized construction.
